Which movies make you sick? Does movie like "Saw IV" make you sick?
I don't mind cannibalism, but sawing legs, poking eyes or shredding skin kinda sickens me.

i don't mind watching scary movies, or action/suspense films... but since they give me emotional tension, or make me too excited, i'm no longer allowing myself to watch them at night... i wouldn't be able to sleep if i do... not from disturbed emotions, but from too much energy pulsing through my body, my nerves gotten all worked up, as if it's daytime and i have to go to work..... it'd take the rest of the night to "wind down"....

I hate the saw movies though.
      I think they're pointless.

If they were Food, they'd be a plateful of nothing but salt.

Yes, I too avoid things with emotional tension. My water influences seem to absorb that kind of stuff so I try to keep health distance.
If I am watching something for entertainment, I want to be inspired, enlightened etc...
especially if I am paying for it-lol! I want to leave with good energy.
If I want emotional tension I will watch the news.....

I have to say, with the Cancers I have known, they seem to have a certain curiosity for movies involving physical pain and things that revolve around darkness. Resident Evil for example. My Cancer man loves those.

I also have a good friend who is Cancer rising who is into gory movies like Saw and Tx Chainsaw...he also reads books on serial killers.

I hate gory movies whose only redeeming quality is gore...

I love the Resident Evil films for the themes of... big organizations f--king up everyone... I see some meaning in it... It's not just a stupid bloodshed horror movie...

The Saw films, however... I don't know... Maybe the physical horror turned me off... maybe the story development was too slow... I just never saw it as being worthy of my time, and attention... and feelings... They just seem to want the audience to get scared. For nothing.

I also have read a book on Jack the Ripper... by forensic expert Patricia Cornwell...
But then I didn't read it for the gory details...
I enjoyed the investigation process... the description of symptoms... the exploration of the murderer's psychology...
The uncovering of clues was exciting to me, the whole process of finding the culprit,... the mystery...
But not the actual terror of murder/bloody tortures in and of itself...

I can see the attraction to murder investigations. I myself find those fascinating. Once the person is dead I am ok with reading about the murder, I just cant watch it taking place...lol...the suffering of the indivudual is what gets to me.

Conspiracy theories interest me also. In movies though, it is hard to be entertained due to figuring out the plot way too far in advance.

I thought cancers can't stand horror movies......
I must start a new topic about cancer's favorite films.

I thought so too until I got to know a few better. Discovering favorite Cancer movies could be very interesting indeed!
Or maycombo of both, like favorite vs most hated...
My Cancer loves cheezy comedies such as Office Space and Knocked Up...on one hand, then goes for Resident Evil on the other....go figure??

I know one thing is for sure, he avoids all 'chick' movies and personally I think it is because he doesn't want me to see him cry... :)
I mean that in a very endearing kinda way...

No horror movies make me sick. I can eat a hearty meal while some poor girl is having her upper torso cut in half.

I'm not afriad of chick-flicks ;-) and they don't turn me away. I watch 'em all as long as there is some adventure in it and its well made.

the kind of movies that make me sick are movies that just plain suck. I thought Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 corpses" was completely stupid. It was all gore and no terror. I want horror movies that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up ............like Poltergeist, The early Halloween's, Amittyville,etc..

I think Stephen King movie adaptations are the best I have seen.
He creeps into the corners of your mind without you realizing until he is already there....then BOO! >:)

Paranormal Activity didn't make me sick, but it was crazy how it played with your mind. As far as other movies were concerned, most all "scary movies" are more like comedies. Except for the ones that were based on tru events. But, its more so that those kind of individuals exist that actually makes me sick.
