We're roasting this variety as a 'spotlight coffee' at Alakef this month.

Sulawesi is a small growing region in the South Pacific near Sumatra and Java.

It's rich, with a bit of spiciness and a good earthy body. No acidity, and a great rich flavor in the cup...

There is so much about coffee. But each place has its own taste. i really like sumatra, and ethiopian coffee best. But good old beans from costa Rica are always nice.

Regular coffee or Lattes

As of lately, I have been drinking regular coffee, more than lattes,
and it can get tireing I think. This has made me dream of the wonderfulness which lattes possess. As follows, a latte holds a taste of rich creaminess. the espresso gives just the right amount of boldness and combined with milk this boldness is softened and refined in order to enjoy each sip. Now, a regular cup of coffee just can't always express it's self in that way.

adding flavor

There's a few ways I add flavor to my cup without destroying the coffee...

-vanilla bean in a separate sugar(REAL SUGAR, please) bowl will add a hint of vanilla to your sweetener.
-a cinnamon stick (flat, nor steamed and rolled) will add a woodsy yet sweet cinnamon flavor.
-brown sugar will add a hint of carmel.
-DON'T use a metal spoon, use a wooden stir (popsicle stick) sometimes the plating on metal spoons is cheap and can add that metalic taste i was talking about.

...many more to come.

I've found that if your house or apt water has an alkaline taste, or is just bad, add a pinch of salt (i use kosher) in the water before brewing. This'll remove the nasties and pull out some hidden flavor from your coffee.
