Coming to San Antonio for AIA Convention in early May.
Looking for an interesting, funky, etc. hotel in town to stay for a few nights.
Like to support small/independent businesses.
Like to be able to get around on foot/transit.
Any suggestions/directions?

For economy and great location, but a chain ~ there's La Quinta across from the Market Square
