Hello to everyone :)
How do I make hairpieces from double ended dreads? I want to use butterfly clips, but what else do I do? I want to make sure they (a) don't come out of the clips and (b) they cover said clips, so that when I wear them, they aren't visible and are secure.
I've looked everywhere and the only thing I can find is how to make clips that aren't butterfly, and use wefts (neither of which I use or have).
Please help!!!!

Wed, August 1, 2007 - 9:09 AMI don't really use butterfly clips for any of my dreadfalls, but I have a suggestion for how you could attach yours. You can use an epoxy to create a bond between the hair and the plastic clip. It takes about five minutes to set and is a much stronger method of attaching the two parts (plasticizing them together, if you will) . -

Where would I glue them together, though? In between the loops of the clips, or elsewhere? -

Wed, August 1, 2007 - 3:23 PMI guess that would depend on whether you're trying to conceal the butterfly clips or have them be prominent. If you want to see less of the climps themselves, you could epoxy the hair strands or braids to the upper part of the side panels. You could even have several pieces of hair angled upward toward the clip's handles and try to keep them out of view. Plus that way you'd get a bit more volume, which I find looks nice and showy for going clubbing. Be sure to post pics once you finish your falls! ^_^
I'm actually working on a new set of light-up pink cyberfalls myself, so I'll post a photo or two once I finish them up.

Thanks so much Star......I will see what I can come up with.....I love dreads, and since I work a corporate environment, I don't need the commitment..... :)
I will post them when I can get them done (hopefully before Blacksun Festival in a week and a half)
The stained glass window is a pic I took myself in one of the cemeteries here.....I do cemetery photography :)
