With all the major IT vendors backing a Web Services initiative it is certain that this technology represents the future of computing.

Web Services are still very new and the idea of a programmable Internet is still a long way from being realised however there lies the opportunity for us all.

It is my belief that Web Services will move computing into a new era beyond the hardware and operating systems eras (and battles) that proceeded it.
