so there's this restaurant near where i live that's a new Himalayan restaurant. it surprisingly tastes a lot like Indian and with similar dishes and ingredients. is that typical?

the himalayas are also in india. and the food would be similar. rice and dal and greens. and of course north indian sabjis and flatbreads of some sort. when i was in kathmandu, nepal the family we lived with fed us with their daily fare of dal bhat tarkari. and it was super simple food and spicing. but some of the tastiest ever.
