...and cowbell can't help me....
So, are there any good vegetarian comfort foods that I could make really simply with stuff in my apartment (that doesn't require me to clean my apartment)?
Thanks.

Sun, May 18, 2008 - 6:14 AMCurd rice with pickle.
You might try with ginger or garlic pickle since these have antiviral and antibacterial properties.
So easy and filling. Good for the digestion too.
Hope you get to feeling better soon...... -

Re: Vegetarian Indian (or other) comfort food....I've got a fever
Sun, June 8, 2008 - 10:04 PMI tried a new vegetable recipe last night, and I was surprised by how satisfying it was. The recipe called for green beans, carrots, potatoes, and plantain in a coconut paste, flavored with serrano chiles and cumin. I substituted a sweet potato for one of the white potatoes, which added a little bit of depth. It has yogurt and a smidgeon of turmeric. With basmati rice, it was quite good.
(I don't know if this is appropriate for this thread, but I wanted to share it!) -
