Let's talk a bit about Remixing techniques.

I just spent the last two days at the KVR forums and the Audio Plugin Junkies Anonymous tribe (that I moderate) and on the web, looking for
frequencing controlled compressors and noise gates in an attempt to
round up some tools to effectively strip and isolate instruments out of
mixes for the purpose of remixing.

What are your favorite tricks for REMIXING tracks? How do you deal with the situation of not having individual and separated tracks to work with
(underground mixing)?

remix of 'The Rain' by Tones on Tail by Ultra Violette

I love 'The Rain' by Tones on Tail and wanted to
be able to get the DJs interested in playing it for dancers
so I respectfully took a hand at remixing it.

There are also other remixes of Blue Bell Knoll by the Cocteau Twins and a Peter Murphy remix.

The other tune there is the one that came out on the Kobe Underground Compilation (the big Japanese goth comp).
That's actually my own tune.

Also would anyone be interested in posting their lastest works or a clip? Obviously given that there aren't any legal issues regarding posting something u might be doing for another artist is understood.
