ZODIACAL INTRODUCTION
The Academic Zodiac is based on the 22 zodiacal stations for the planets1. Nevertheless, planetary zodiacs2 are not the same for e.g. Venus or Mars3i. The Lunar Zodiac4 greatly differs from the Venus Zodiac. Both the Lunar Zodiac and the zodiac of Venus5 determine the Academic Zodiac. The Sun spans only 16 IAU stations, if we allow for Sun in Orionii, Cetus and Sextans6.

5.

1Mostly, Venus determines the zodiac, as the Sun has no inclination to the ecliptic.
2Astrology in Outer Space, Planetocentric Astrology, Lunar Zodiac, The Secret Mansions of the Moon, Venus Sign, Mercurial Zodiac. Additionally, the P and X Zodiac are still in great use even after year 2006.
3In poor words, Venus and Mars not at all travel the same part of the sky.
4The Secret Mansions of the Moon is the original publication that eventually spawns the more recent Lunar Zodiac.
5Venus in Special Constellations, Venus Sign.
6Of the three, Sextans is the most speculative. The recently introduced position is presented with a New Moon in Sextans on Saint Bernard night, August 20th 2009. For detailed scans, see our recent publications like Saint Bernard Nuit. Sun in Orion enjoys strong astronomical veracity, while Sun in Cetus is important due to the Age of Cetus II we live in, the present age.
7Already the word weights quite some aspects as concern the market. 2010 is a marketing year, besides being ruled by a legal spirit of Jupiter. The initiate will understand that to assume the proper spirit, one has to introduce corrections in the timely reckoning of jovial spirits. Evoking the right spirit in the spirit of an Academic Zodiac is the real joy of the 2012 magus.
8Gold does not lose its value, but note that within the Orcus Report we include the shadow market!
9Food, but especially as used in war times, therefore dried reserves as sold to warring parties. In that way, the Indian subcontinent once more avoids contamination.
10The passage implies black magick as used in order to separate lovers or even attempt to kill one of them.
112010 is an especially “nosy” year, to put it mildly.
12Note that Eris the higher octave of Mars in war horoscopes.
13Secondary angular direction.
iIn being influenced by poor “astrological” literature, one is eventually misguided into assuming that e.g. Neptune and the Moon travel along the same path. Nevertheless, in the real sky, the paths of Neptune and the Moon greatly differ, to the point that their own planetary zodiacs have almost nothing in common, apart from the standard 13 zodiacal stations.
ii O5IRIS, Mercury in Orion, Orion Days – Sun in Orion.
