What is modern astrology about? Does it take into account the new transneptunian discoveries? How does it import data from the astronomic realm? Is it compatible with astronomy yet? These questions are positively answered in detail within the prolific body of publications that form the basis for the astrology of the New Æon1.
We succeeded in blending the wisdom of the ancients2 with modern astronomy, into a reliable astrological system generally known as the Academic Zodiac. Scientific astrology was always based on science, particularly when astronomy and astrology were one. The Lord banned superstition in promoting accuracy in astronomic observation3.

What is there to discover? Astrology was never a boring dial with 12 signs that serve as ascendants. In granting it the name of a system, we can laugh in mirth at an obsolete superstition of the past. It would seem that the biblical ban was taken seriously only by the science of astronomy, while superstition continued to infest the pagan market.
The pagan was left without guidance7, which is peculiar in an observing society. Whatever astronomy was handed to us from the pagan domain, surely observed Orion as subecliptic ascendant with Cygnus as galactic ascendant8. This is not only true of Ireland, but also of Egypt, China and Guam.
In our Masonic past, astrologers were not at all properly informed in the sequence, number and quality of the zodiacal stations. Thus, the new Age of Pegasus would pass unnoticed even in a high initiate, with Venus rising in Pegasus at east overlooked or even misinterpreted as any trivial pseudo-zodiacal position. Taking for example Aleister Crowley, the otherwise gifted astrologer9 had no tools in calculating the arrival of any age at all. Crowley probably never knew the intricacies of Cetus and Hydra. At the time, Masonic Britain believed in only 12 rising zodiacal constellations ascending at east, as astrology was hopelessly separated from science in an ambient of sheer superstition.
Masonry particularly profits from the proper orientation10 of the Temple and its initiates. Understanding heraldry is studying the heavenly vault. Taking the USA for an example, Aquila11, Serpens and Lyra define most of the national heraldry12. The Lion and Unicorn are still secretly bracketing Hydra13, as if in hiding the reptilian lair of British heraldry.

1Age of Pegasus, also Age of Aquarius. Presently Age of Cetus III, as a subsection of the Age of Pisces.
2This varies from the Chinese equatorial system to the Mayan Venus-based observation. There is lot of work to do in old Egyptian synastry, as well as through the comparatively recent epoch of Denderah.
3The details can be found in the Holy Bible as well as throughout our publications. The fastidious reader will profit from our Abstract collections, also Bible Works. The Lord justly discouraged the Levites from adopting non-precessed material, while encouraging them into astronomic observation. The Hebrew were thus avid observers of the sky, much in the line with the Egyptians and Sumerians.

7That is, no recorded update of precession was taken into account in the making of the horoscope.
8Cygnus is the galax or galactic ascendant of the USA.
9Born with Hydra rising, or even triune ascendant Monoceros, Canis Minor and Hydra. Distinctly, Crowley and the British Masonry had no way of knowing the position of the Sun and ascendant, even with Monoceros clearly boasting heraldic qualities within the mysterious realm of subconscious ascendants.
10Currently 16 eastern ascendants. The meridian constellations are studied separately, being distinct from the ascendant set.
11The probable ascendant of the USA, albeit Serpens Cauda is the most represented.
12Some of the publications that illustrate this point are entitled Genesis Ascendant, Serpens and USA.
13Leo and Monoceros appear as hiding Hydra, a possible hint at the reptilian nature of British Masonry. As Hydra is Tiamat, the star crumble trail leads towards possible Persian origins of national heraldry. Speculations assign Monoceros to a special animal as featuring in the Bible, much as Lion is equated with hereditary claim in planetary rule; however, these high aspirations might prove to be nothing more than a beautiful dream.
