Re: Name a concept
Thu, August 9, 2007 - 8:05 PMGee, there are so many, "Running from Safety", a very good book by Richard Bach, also "Illusions" by him as well.
He pretty much spells it out, as far as the way I see things :-)
He questions our motives in a 'Reality' that's alot more flexible than we think.

Re: Name a concept
Thu, August 9, 2007 - 8:47 PMThere have been many also, but the one i remember here now is reading this somewhere, sorry cant rememer where, about 4 years ago, and it reduced me to tears at the time.
Why are we trying to become spiritual?
We are already spritit, having a human experience!
Realized i had spent most of my life within the spirit world, i had forgotten to enjoy the journey of being human also! -

Re: Name a concept
Fri, August 10, 2007 - 6:09 AMI have too many that I can't remember, Da Vinci code, yes I know it is fictional, any book that makes you look at your self society and religion with new eyes is a good book IMHO, it makes you wonder how tainted our religions are by men seeking power through religion, and the extremes people will go to hold or extend that power, Gibbons Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire, makes you look at the United States and see us following the same path to oblivion as the Roman's did.

Dano, yes agree, much wisdom and he is so much fun to isnt he.
To be child like, (not childish) seems the way to go.

Re: Name a concept
Wed, August 15, 2007 - 1:40 AMBrute force, no matter how strongly applied, can never subdue the basic human desire for freedom and dignity. It is not enough, as communist systems have assumed, merely to provide people with food, shelter and clothing. Human nature needs to breathe the precious air of liberty.

Sat, August 11, 2007 - 1:21 PMDr. Judith Orloff and her intuitive psychology concept. Saved my life. Not only did it save my life, it has reshaped it considering I spent half of it repressing the psychic half. Its better now that I can talk to people about my experiences, but before I kept a tight lid on them.

Wed, August 15, 2007 - 1:43 AMHis comment about Hatred...
"Anger or hatred is like a fisherman's hook. It is very important for us to ensure that we are not caught by it."

Re: Name a concept
Wed, August 15, 2007 - 6:18 AMSo many are trapped by a government that tries to supply the necessities of life and then the human spirit can die.
