We had Simone Strutules (might be spelling her last name wrong) teaching Eskrima at this years Gasshuku in Spain. I had a chace to have a one on one lesson from her and I have to say that her style and the way she teaches is very good. I had a chance to meet Jason at the Kilohana this year in Califorina and he gave us training in block an flows. again another great person to recieve training from. Priceless.

    Hi Mud Mamma,

    Jason, you mean Jason Inay?

Also, Simone Strutules was teaching Serrada Eskrima? Just curious, as I am a Serrada student, and my foundation was Serrada Eskrima adapted from the Inayan system, which was adapted from the source: GMM Angel Cabales. I am now under IESA (Sultan Uddin) via Guro Bob Manalo. I am having a blast and learning the Garimot system simultaneously bi-weekly. Thanks Mud Mamma I like mud too :P

    Peace, ~John.

        Hi Cerese,

No I haven't met her before, but I always like to know who is teaching Serrada, plus I know some peeps who are affiliated w/ the Inay school. Serrada players are numerous here in northern cali, but we're divided into different camps.

        Peace, ~John.

            Hi Cerese,

I live in Santa Clara, CA, where prices are too high and pay is too low... :(

Thank you for the invite, I always enjoy making new friends, esp. those interested in Filipino fighting systems. I have Serrada class tonight ;D

As far as taking up any new arts- lemme tell ya, there are a few schools I would LOVE to join, but at the moment I'm swamped with keeping my life in order- school, eskrima, work... phew... I'm a student of 2 systems atm, the Garimot system (www.garimot.com) and Serrada Eskrima (original Cabales Eskrima under IESA). Boy is it fun though!!!

Cerese I am using your henna hand as my desktop wallpaper, fit-to-screen, and it looks cool :)

Hey whats up brother Raul, I will get back to you about Cabales Serrada Eskrima in P.I. ... I will ask Guro Bob when I see him (in about 45 minutes)... but to note, our system was handed down from Felicisimo Dizon.

            Peace, ~John.

Sensei Pitrelli at Fusuikan over on Myrtle Ave. That's where I train at. You would be more than welcome to come and talk with him. He does mostly seminares but if you join the Kilohana you can come to the Masters seminars, Camp Kilohana, and other Gasshuku's.
Oh what I just reread your p[ost and yopu live in the Philippines. We have a town here named Manila. LOL.

      Hey Raul,

I'm sorry to state that no, at this time there is no Serrada Eskrima in Manila at this time. However, any school that has it's lineage in Master Felicisimo Dizon is bound to have some similarities so I hear. Also, Floro Villabrille was a training partner of Dizon's thruout his childhood and into adulthood. So there might be some things that rubbed off, also they both claim to have been trained by the blind princess Josefina. That is old Pinoy folklore, so who knows? I simply let my stick do the talking! You can do this: go to www.sultanuddin.com and inquire with the GM Sultan Uddin, I am sure he might be able to point you in the right direction. I would suggest Bakbakan, Kalis Ilustrisimo, or Pekiti Tirsia. Otherwise, go with a little-known system (I like it all brother!)...

      Peace & Blessings, ~John.

Please feel free to get at me with any questions whatsoever, let's build!
