There's actually a fairly good amount of stick stuff going on in Portland. The two top guys I know of are Wayne Keller and Leonard Trigg, of the Slumbering Tiger School and Northwest Fighting Arts, respectively. Wayne's not a name you hear dropped a lot; he tends to keep low profile, but he's one of the most experienced martial artists you'll find in Oregon. You can reach his school at 503-232-5185.

If John Daniels is still teaching he's pretty solid. There's Arnis all over the place. How good it is is another question. Sifu Trigg has turned out some good students. NWFA has moved recently but shouldn't be hard to find.

If you can get a hold of John Bruce Daniels you'll get good solid instruction. On top of the Presas material he has fairly high ranking under the Canetes and made Associate under Guro Inosanto a long time ago. If you're interested in Silat you are in luck. Guru Plinck is currently taking new students.
