Blue Lotus

Blue Lotus ( Nymphaea caerula ) is a sacred Egyptian
plant. The God form associated with it is Nefertum.
This aquatic plant is rather rare. Some places on the
internet sell it. the dried flowers can be prepared
as a tea or fermented in mead ( yum ). In small amounts
it acts as a memory enhancer much like Ginko biloba.
In larger doses it's like Viagra. In fact, Viagra is an
analog of the active alkaloid of Blue Lotus, thus why
Viagra comes in a blue pill! The flower can be smoked
as well, mild euphoria.

We purvey Blue Lotus at the Urban Shaman in Vancouver BC and have online ordering at www.urbanshaman.ca.

Great stuff indeed. Nice mixed with sceletium tortusum (kana) and cannabis as a smoke.

It's really good mixed with Salvia divinorum as well
but I don't think that has much libido action...
Sceletium tortusum is more of an entheogen, loves
      growing in California...

This has some good info. It's been used for treating depression, alcoholism and colicy babies. i enjoy it immensely and its non-addictive.

It's also easy to cultivate from cuttings. Blue Lotus
though is a little harder to cultivate around here, it
likes hot and humid weather. I put Kanna in a Mead once
and it was pretty lifting in spirits!

Blue Lotus is amazing, the blue essential oil is quite expensive and hard to find. I have a 5 gallon batch of Blue Lotus flowers I fermented in Agave nectar, it's almost ready to bottle and the smell of this libation is just wonderful and the flavour is quite unique. White Lotus is interesting to as well as the Sacred Lotus...

Blue Lotus essential oil is about $60 for just one Ml and more for the purer stuff. I dunno if I can get some at the moment, it's a very rare commodity. The flowers are more available on the web.

I went to Egypt to do a research project TV and for a drink manufacturer. I can tell you that Egyptian Blue Lotus oil is very rare as it takes about 250000 lbs of petal to make 10 ml of absolute. (it is, however, very easy to synthesis).
It's potency is ment to be at it's best (depending on which aspect of the deities one translate and/or prefers) varies from day to day of it's 3 day bloom.
Apomorphine is the aphrodisiac which can be bought as an isolate.
There is also a very interesting enzyne called iso-methyltranferase do a pub med scan on it.
The God associated with it is Nefertum, God of beauty and aromatherapy, who is the Son of Sehkmet, the lion headed Goddess and Ptah, a divine spark only real known by manifestations.
Also read Kha mu wasse (the spelling changes regularly due to translation).

The chemical in blue lotus is aporphine not "apomorphine". Some idiot on wiki posted that it was apomorphine and the false netlore spreaded like wildfire.

I am afraid you are incorrect in your statement regarding the one of the chemicals in the blue lotus/lily. I had a gas chromatography analysis conducted as part of the research project I headed along time before wiki even existed.

99% of Blue Lotus oil is chemically synthesised. I also went to a perfume manufacturing facility in Egypt for researching the feasibility of producing an absolute. Roughly 250,000 kilos of petals is needed to make 100ml of absolute.

I found that it is very good when fresh, preferably the 2nd day of flowering, and then soaked in a light organic red wine, gently warmed in the sunshine for a couple of days. For a bit of alchemy try 3 days around the full moon in Scorpio or Leo and add 3 herkimer diamonds and a ruby in. Don't drink the stones though x

Viagra is blue because in some people it affects the vision by adding a blue tinge.
Nefertums "father" is Ptah and his "mother" is Sekhmet.

viagra may give peoples vision a blue tint, but i assure you, viagra is blue because of the fucking food dye used to color the casing of the pill!
Maybe you should look for your aphrodisiacs in the food coloring isle!

      ptah and sekmet would agree.

LOL of course dye is added to, the active ingredient, sildenafil citrate and binding agents etc in order to form viagra pills but the reason blue colouring was added is because of the effect it has on some people. Food colouring isle... if only it were so easy, I think I'd go for a dose of each primary ;- )

If only it were so easy- your point would make some sense.

you send me your viagra, i will send you laundry bluing, make sense?

and, i did not say, blue dye was added to the ingredient. i said- it colors the casing of the pill.

so with that logic, any red pill will make a woman horny as can be????

will she get hornier if the pill is in the shape of a red penis, or red vagina?

and there you are, right back to the central theme of this tribe- what is an aphrodisiac?

your mind/associations -? or neural firing and increased oxygen flow and hormones to the genitals?

if the mere color blue would do it- it would have been done, and done again, in this nasty little hominid
              culture we have.

do you mean that sildenafil citrate is really a fancy word for blue dye #6?

or does the sildenafil citrate become more active under blue lights???

Hell with lotus, can we just smoke bachelor buttons instead? that would sure be cheaper. they're both blue.

some of my boogers are blue.

              hmm.

PT141 aka Bremelanotide has been shown to be a very good chemical for making women horny. The pill is marketed in pink, why that is, I don't know, what do you think?

                  Sun, October 28, 2007 - 4:32 AM
because marketing idiots still would like to equate blue with boys and pink with girls, like has been done in all advertising since the friggin' baby boom, sherlock. do ya think the pill for women is effective because IT IS FRIGGIN' PINK????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Shit dude, you make no sense. and i don't anticipate you making sense soon. asta la vista baby. I will let you continue your fun color analogy,
                  prattle on.

                    LOL Dear Watson
Sildenafil citrate aka viagra also affects some peoples vision by adding a blue tinge to what they see.
PT141 as far as I know does not affect the vision. It is also marketed for men to increase lust so why pink!!! Hmmm! That could be a marketing disaster maybe you should add your expertise to their team. Would you like me to find their email for you, there's money there to be made if you're quick.
                    Have a nice day x

yeah, and where do we misunderstand the difference between the contents of a pill and the coloring of its coating?

sleep well dude, you cease to make sense. silenafil citrate is clear/white, as a chemical, before it is pressed into pretty blue shapes. or any other shapes or colors, for that matter. really.
