Re: who loves the egg?
Tue, February 12, 2008 - 7:28 PMit appears that the clean up crew went a.w.o.l. and the egg was left in a horrible state. any help would be appreciated. i will barely be around, but ben is putting up a list on the bulletin board at the bottom of the stairs, and you can also call tito to ask what is left to be done.
is there anyone who has a hose? the garbage cans and bar mats need a good rinse! i would love love love for the egg not to smell like stale beer for my friday clients!
thank you all so much!
xoxo,

Re: who loves the egg?
Wed, February 13, 2008 - 12:04 PMForgotten List of things that would be good to do:
- mop a few more times. the beer spillage at this event was particularly bad, and though it's been mopped all over about 1.5 times, truly to get the funk out, it needs a few more, the last with clean hot water. everything needs to be dry by 7pm for the band to practice. the funk is accumulated, and there is certainly some from the last opening, but c n b is stinky stinky funk. you will have to lug water downstairs. using the biggest pasta pot makes filling the bucket form the sink easier.
- please clean the shock mats- some of the sweet beer perfume is fuming off of them. we don't have a hose connect, but there may be one on the outside of the building or rocketworks or who knows. if a hose connection is discovered, hosing off the loading dock would be a considerate thing to do as well, as it too has enjoyed a generous helping of beer. in lieu of a hose, you can clean the mats in the bath tub with a scrub brush, located in the downstairs sink.
- Please clean the bar zone.
- please clean the trash cans- someone thought it a good idea to use them without bags in post event clean up. also, the trash object could just as easily be de-decorated and put out on the curb, along with the riser (unceremoniously re-dumped at the egg three weeks ago after we'd tossed it) that the purple couch is screwed down to. your good judgement about aesthetics is well known and we trust you to make the space better!
Thanks very much- and cleaning crew, please feel free to drink some of the beer in the keg if you'd like.

I can get a hold of a power washer. Just need to find a hose bib or transport the floor mats and cans to somewhere's that has one.
Does that lower square platform/riser need to go away as well? should it be deconstructed and removed?

Re: who loves the egg?
Thu, February 14, 2008 - 1:53 AMThe low riser doesn't have a reason to be at the egg any longer. we cut the feet off it and tossed it on the curb, only to have it show back up months later. It might be nice to offer it to Hippodrome as part of their set up, but we didn't miss it and we don't need it.
