Lets keep stats...Remember the movie PAY IT FORWARD..the little boy that decided to change his community by doing a good deed and encouraging others to pass it on, let try it for 30 days, report to the group your experiences and we all celebrate at the end of the month by relating to our joint accomplishments....
Example: Today I helped a senior across the street, later that day i took her to the doctor and shoping....Thats 3 payments into the bank of good..

I remember some time ago someone (not on Tribe) advertised for people to join his, I think, fan club! People joined. I think he may have done it as a joke and was a bit surprised that he suddenly had these followers. So he told them that they had to carry out an act of kindness on Fridays. Maybe we could try it. -

I think it's a great idea to advertise for people to join this tribe. I think we all need as much kindness as we can give and get! Do you know how/where he advertised? Maybe we could suggest it for the Best of Tribe area on the home page? I'm really new to tribe.net so I'm still finding my way around the site, but I love the idea of random & deliberate acts of kindness each day - and then sharing/discussing and supporting each other as we walk on that path.

06/03I went to Vernon yesterday for a job interview (9 other candidates, though...) and got stranded at the Kelowna airport coming back. The lav's weren't working and they needed at least one working to take off - we were all de-planed back to the security area after about a 1/2 hour of sitting there in the plane. I called Elisabeth to tell her to go home with Tiffany and put her to bed at 8. Then by 7:30 (the flight was supposed to leave at 5:05...) they gave us a $10 meal voucher. We finally re-boarded about 8 and took some convoluted way across from Vancouver 'cause I saw the mill at maybe Ladysmith or Nanaimo? We finally arrive in Victoria about 8:50 & I go out to wait for the city bus and a shuttle bus driver says he doesn't think there'll be one. (Even though the schedule says there's one at 9:16 and 10:16...) and says I'd better take the shuttle instead - I say I don't have $15. He says, well, do you have $10? I rummage in my wallet and only come up with $6 (I have a bus pass, so I didn't think about cab fare or anything...). He hands me the rest of the cash I need and says - you better take the shuttle... I'm shocked, but I say why, thank you very much!! He says - don't thank me, thank Jesus Christ -- I'm momentarily stunned, but recover quickly and say, Okay -- I do! Got dropped off 20 minutes later at the bus stop across from my house! YEAH! I plan to send him the cash back when I find out who he was. My sister said I should just "pay it forward."
