Hi!

I have been on SSRI's for gosh 10 long years! Trying numerous times before to come off. I can't believe how papranoid or whatever Dr's are about one wanting to "TRY" to be a functioning human without the help of SSRI's! LOL! BUT in the last several months I have weaned and weaned myself and NOW am FINALLY SSRI FREE! Withdrawl was pure HELL! What an understatement! I have no clue why DR's are not aware of what an ordeal it can be get off the stuff! I was told all three times in prior attempts to come off the stuff that the "withdrawl" was really "my body's need" for the drug, and that "my brain" needed the CRAP, and that I was not really experiencing "junkie type" symptoms! BULL!!! Is it all about money or what??? At this point I am just so glad I to be off the stuff! I will be happy to pass along any advice I can. SP

PS: I took Zoloft for almost 9 years until being put on Effexor last year. Was I ever THAT depressed??? Hindsight IS truly 20/20! Take care ALL!
