Let's celebrate our triumphs!
I have released:
Smokes - released in 1991
Antibiotics - released in 1997
Wheat - released in 2004
Dairy - released in 2004
Sugar - released in 2006
Steroid asthma medication - released in 2007
Emotional self - poisoning - released in 2007

We are not here merely to focus on what continues to poison but to celebrate each triumph as we move forward into greater and greater health and wholeness!
Celebrate!

Re: What have you released (so far)?
Thu, April 19, 2007 - 12:53 PMThat's so true Ivy!! I can't really list anything yet, since this is really the first time I've tried to consciously give up anything.
I have released red meat since I before I started the fast on April 2nd (I had a little bite of chicken salad last night but plan on cutting out poultry too leaving just fish).
I used to smoke cigarettes very occasionally and released that completely back in ohhh... 2004? But that wasn't something I was addicted to either. -

Re: What have you released (so far)?
Thu, April 19, 2007 - 12:58 PMHi Allie :)
I am really trying to look at all ways in which I have (and am) purifying my being. I knew there was more than what I'd listed!
Thanks for jogging my memory!
I chose against red meat when I was 11 back in 1982. So that's been most of my life! And I stopped drinking coffee in 1991 (though I now suspect that the real toxins in that were the milk and sugar more so than the coffee itself).
So many things...so many layers to liberate! But it can be done! All of it!

Re: What have you released (so far)?
Thu, April 19, 2007 - 1:20 PMAnd it's really rewarding looking back on what we have accomplished. I suggest you all try it!! There are quite a few things that I have released except for very occasionally. That, for me, is a big accomplishment. And if I look at it that way caffeine is on the list too.
Oh yeah!! And co-dependency. I still struggle, but at least I can catch myself when I'm acting out... -

i joined another tribe thinking they would be a great support for this sort of thing, but they were really just into wallowing in the problems, in self-pity. i un-joined - they were bringing me down!

Re: What have you released (so far)?
Fri, May 4, 2007 - 3:13 PM+Cigarettes....99.9% of the time. I only smoke with one person now and I only see her every once in awhile and I won't see her again for a year or so after I return stateside. And, even then, I will have fully quit when I am stateside.
+ a person that was just plain toxic
+ alcohol (will drink occasionally but not as much as before)
+ most of the anger I hold towards my mom.
So, as you can tell, these are works in progress. But, aren't we all??

Fri, May 4, 2007 - 4:32 PMOOooh! Toxic people!! I didn't think about that one. I did release a person that was far too toxic last year. Still have complete love for him, but just can't be friends...
Thanks for that reminder!! -

Re: What have you released (so far)?
Fri, May 4, 2007 - 5:07 PMYep...done my share of people releases as well~
There was one chick in particular who was really a stopper in the whole bottle! Once I let go o' that one, so much started changing for the better! I had a lot of disgust towards her for a long time. Now, I've come to a place of compassion~
I hope she's treating herself better now~

Re: What have you released (so far)?
Sun, June 10, 2007 - 11:38 PMToday, I released some fear that I was holding back...a little bit of resentment...a little bit of miscommunication...I cried cleansing tears and let my sadness, confusion and misunderstanding out...
And I feel so much lighter!
:)
