thought I might post a thread about alternative therapies folks have used and found helpful...
Alexander Technique is a body posture, balance and movement technique designed to reduce stress, improve
healing from injuries and on. Widely used by actors and dancers, as well as those with back, neck and other injuries.

I used this for disk injuries in my back and neck as well as some sacro-illiac displacements. Once I learned the technique, I was able to incorporate some of it into my daily routine. That, along with Feldenkrais and its approach to "micro-adjustments/ micro-movements"
has helped me tremendously.

Thu, February 22, 2007 - 7:53 AMSince I mentioned Feldenkrais...
here is a website about that ...
www.feldenkrais.com/
It is a system developed to use the tiniest of movements to allow the body to heal through re-positioning. I have used it for my back and neck injuries...
Developed by Moshe Feldenkrais - his book on the subject is called "Awareness Through Movement" - I think it is still in print, hope so)
take care all
