A ton of UNRELEASED Elliott Smith studio outtakes have JUST APPEARED ON THE WEB. You can download them here:
rawkblog.blogspot.com/

I suggest you do so before they are forced to pull them down.

I can't believe it ... I'm speechless ... these tracks are amazing ... It's like a gift from heaven! I never never never thought there'd be an entire new Elliott Smith album of great material!

My first impression is that this stuff is better than From a Basement on the Hill by a wide margin. I am totally blown away.

Hmm... I'm really surprised that the availability of a free album of previously-unavailable Elliott Smith material didn't generate more than one response! Go figure.

i don't have the ability to download music... no home computer... so I have not even been able to listen to it

I did send this to a friend who CAN download and asked him to check it out and burn it for me

he's a huge fan too, so I sure hope he does!

I just hope they eventually release more of the last sessions. I guess his family chose the songs for Basement and for obvious reasons didn't pick some of the more overt ones about suicide.

      obvious, yet dishonest

and a disservice to people who might have these sorts of feelings too....

ignoring the fact that suicides happen doesn't make them stop

And I'm sure some of it was beautiful music, as well. I mean, that was Elliott's focus in life, so putting it would be celebrating his life and what mean everything to him...
