Re: tofu dumpsters San Francisco/Oakland
Fri, January 18, 2008 - 5:14 PMI used to get tofu from the Andronico's on Telegraph, but they have started to lock their dumpster. Does anyone go there?
Also Trader Joes in Emeryville had tofu sometimes, but as always, it is hit and miss. I never dumpster with specific needs in mind. Unless I need bread or vegetables. It's not like I would be making something from a recipe and go out and dumpster my one missing ingredient. -

Re: tofu dumpsters San Francisco/Oakland
Sun, January 20, 2008 - 2:06 PMthe Andronico's on Shattuck locks their dumpster area BUT
on Henry there is a cut out in the plywood wall and i see people sneaking in and out through there at night all the time.
pretty funny, i live across the street so i'll see these 20 something aged people in nice cars pull up, sneak in, grab and go -

Re: tofu dumpsters San Francisco/Oakland
Tue, January 22, 2008 - 1:02 PMI was talking about the one on Telegraph. You could just climb the fence using the wall on the West side, and walk down the crates and forklift to get in. The last time I was there I saw a lock on the dumpster. Has anyone else had the same experience, or do they leave it open now?
