hey all,
im new to the tribe, so hello!
ive been looking to get some good cycling shorts like these: chromebags.com/products/apparel/show/44/
i like the chrome knickers but id like to know if anyone else in this tribe has seen similar ones from different companies. ideally id like something with a similar style, padded bum and a pocket for my u-lock.
any advice is appreciated!

Re: looking for decent & non-spandex cycling knickers
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 11:21 AMI had been looking for some decent non-spandex knickers some time ago and, well, the page that I found on the internet is gone, but here it is elsewhere:
www99.epinions.com/pr-Bike_...e_Knicker
I haven't bought them, so I can't give you a review. Don't know if the pocket fits your lock or if the price fits your wallet, but I think it'll pad your bum.
Let us know what you find and if you recommend!

Mon, September 24, 2007 - 5:15 PMZoic is among the brands that innovated the bike knicker, and baggy shorts, as a replacement for lycra. One of Zoic's founders now owns Xoom Juice here in Tucson.

Prana has their Mantis Knicker.

The women's version of this is the Moto Capri.

Bike Fixation sells an excellent Classic Wool Knickers and Hemp City Knickers.

I lust for Chrome's Lightweight Shins as well as their Pacer top. Alas I don't have the dollar for those lovely items.

My suggestions don't include a padded bum. I use liners for that and wear the knickers over. The Zoic shorts have the padding as an integral part.
