Origin

topic posted Fri, November 28, 2003 - 1:07 AM by  Daniel
I was wondering if either of you know of anyone that can get any of the material from the first album. I managed to find copies of Fields Of Innocence and Anywhere off of Kazaa, but I haven't been able to find any of the other songs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS. I already checked e-bay and I'm not willing to pay over $100 for a CD

I have a couple songs that I believe to be off the Origin album. The songs are Even in death, Where will you go, Away from me, and Lies. I can send them your way if you like.

If you could do that, I would be incredibley grateful. Although I don't know if my e-mail will hold that big of file

I have the entire album in MP3 format. I don't know how I'd get it to you, but if you've got ideas, then drop me a line.

If you're an AIM user and you have the latest version on your PC, I could always direct link with you and transfer it that way. If you're cool with the idea, you'll make me a happy boy!

::sigh:: I'm trying to be good and ethical so I really, really wish there was a way for "Origin" to be rereleased.

I'll ask some people I know, don't take my word as gospil right yet. But since Origin is out of print, and no new prints are going to be made of it, there is no way that Evanescence can collect money from those tracks.

          Thus....

          No worry about being ethical.

Was "Origin" released through a different record label? My DH seems to recall something about the label going bankrupt so I wondered if anyone could confirm that.

Evanescence was originally signed to Big Wig records.

              www.bigwigenterprises.com/versi...y.html

If you scroll all the way down to the bottom, you'll see a panel with Evanescence on it. The company hasn't gone bankrupt, I don't know who owns the rights to Origin.

Also if you can't find 'Origin', which you can download off of almost any illegal mp3 site. Then try finding 'Not for your ears' which has almost double the amount of songs as Origin, plus the song 'you' which Amy wrote for Ben. It's actually almost impossible to find 'you' now since Amy specifically asked that all the sites take it down saying it was a really personal song. But 'Not for your ears' has almost all the same songs as 'Origin'. Just trying to help, that's all I can really do.

i cant remember where but i read somewhere that amy had actually said that she diddn't mind if people downloaded origin because they wernt getting any money from it anymore and she said it was silly to pay loads of money on ebay for it.

i downloaded origin and all of the other songs not on fallen from www.mp3search.ru

don't know if any of this helps

That kinda explains why I couldn't find it on Amazon

As far as I know no one has the rights to the CD. She has said before to download it instead of paying an arm, leg and your first born kid. Yeah, they aren't getting money for it anymore. It's a good CD though. I'd send it to ya as well but I don't know how to send songs as files right now. Sorry!

Darn! I tried looking for origins on MP3sHits.com (where I sometimes download music) and all I could find was field of innocence and lies.
