I've been coming to Tribe.net for awhile and have often perused the Nomad/ WorldTrekkerr oriented posts. I've only just joined this Tribe (moments ago, to be exact) because I am presently in the process of either selling, trading, or giving away almost all of my worldly belongings and and preparing to "hit the road." I'll be living most of the time out of a Hilleberg and an Arctyrex, starting off in Kauai come May, then planning on heading west into Asia from there if and when I get my fill of the island life (am sure i eventually will. I've a few "once lovers" who've told me I should change my name to Cloud.) I'm here to reap the benifits of your collective wisdom, ask questions and read answers, and to hopefully weave together a network of like-minded, cloud-spirited folks that will help guide me through my treks, both the physical and spiritual. And I sincerely hope that I may do the same for others.
So, that being said, does any one have any experience that they'll share concerning cheap sea travel, i.e, purchasing space aboard freighters, commercial ships, trading labor for passage, etc.?

just posted some related information in this tribe under the thread, "flying...it kills," so have a look there. from hawaii west sailboats are usually heading out april/may, from what i understand. i have some other links to sailing if you're interested, send me p.m.
as for connecting with others traveling, don't worry, you'll meet everyone on your journeys~the less you plan, the more magickal it will be!
