I'm in Ireland now and I wanna go to Wales. I don't wanna fly for environmental reasons, and the ferry is quite dear indeed!
Does anyone have any information that might be of help to me? Any and all ideas are welcome!

Mon, March 16, 2009 - 9:09 AMhi chevre,
try looking at buses through national express www.nationalexpress.com. i know from england you can take national express over to the continent, often for quite cheap (look at 'fun fares'), and it includes the ferry ride.
as for crewing a boat, you may find something at sail.net.
good luck!

Re: Island hopping
Sat, March 28, 2009 - 11:58 AMI spent some time working in the Bahamas, but lived and still live in Florida.
We used to take planes and or boats to some of the little out islands.
One time coming in for a landing (we were flying a dash-7 aircraft) the door fell off of the plane at about 1,500 ft.
It was a windy day inside and ouside the aircraft!!
