Turkey Tail

Live in coastal northern california, I have been finding a lot of what appear to be Turkey tail, but might be the false Turkey tail. I dont really see any visible pores, but Im not sure what the pores are supposed to look like.

Also, are there any known medicinal qualities to the false turkey tail?
