I am hoping to visit Kauai this late spring, and am looking for recommendations for both bed and breakfasts, and possibly other affordable places to crash that are not so touristy...if possible. any suggestions will be appreciated! :-) ~sinclair

Thu, March 27, 2008 - 12:01 PMAlthough they only have continental breakfast, try looking up the Kauai Inn. It's near Nawiliwili Bay, and you can easily get a more than decent breakfast in the town there. Kauai Inn is a beautiful, peaceful spot.

Sat, April 19, 2008 - 10:43 AMMy favorites are The Bamboo Jungle House (in Kalaheo) and the Hale Lani (in Kapaa). I've had amazing stays at both places. Beautiful rooms and really lovely innkeepers. I would highly recommend both these places.
I always check tripadvisor.com before I book a stay anywhere. The customer reviews are invaluable and I like to see how places are ranked in popularity.
