Yeah, I'm pretty passionate about my candidate. Most of it is because of the chance for affecting real change in DC. Admittedly a portion is also because of my distaste for Hillary. I really, really, really dislike her. So I continue my research and find a candidate, a long shot, that I could get excited about. I knew I was dreaming, but hell...he is a great candidate. Then I came to learn that several other people were dreaming as well. All of that energy concentrated on this guy pushed him to the front runner. Cool. Then we start to learn that Hillary is up to her usual BS. I shared a couple of tidbits, posted a couple of links to YouTube (including one that is still the top module on my profile page), put up some pictures on Super Tuesday, etc.
But I stayed out of the Hillary tribes. I also didn't engage Hillary supporters beyond troll-parrys. The party needs to unite and both of our candidates need to stay focused on the issues. So I log on to Tribe this morning and find that Dancing Eyes posted a photo comment on a photo that I posted in my tribe. Here, check it out:

What a knob. So I replied with the following message to him:
"You are the exact reason why the Democratic Party is in disarray. However kudos for acting just like Hillary by deluding yourself in to the belief that the underdog is in a position to demand the front runner step aside. You could serve your lying sack of Hillary better by trying to go out and campaign for her as opposed to trolling profiles."
So, Mr. Eyes, as you fight the urge to troll this post, realize this: I believe in Senator Obama. I believe in action. See that little gold star next to you name? It was my idea. I met with Tribe and presented them with an action plan and supportive data that saved this forum from being shut down. Need evidence? You can start here:

You know that little post from Mark Pincus' blog? The one right after thanksgiving? Where he was so thankful? Yeah, I wrote that as well. Why? Because unlike immature buffoons like you, I beleive that a single person working toward a little action in a positive direction can cause a ripple effect that creates real change.
Oh, look...a new message from Dancing Eyes in my inbox...

Re: I guess I hit a nerve with Dancing Eye 'cause he's trolling my profile now
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 1:10 PMI think it's funny that Hillary's touting West Virginia as her "big win." Most of my living (and dead) relatives (on my mother's side) are from West Virginia. I've spent far too much time there than I ever care to in my life. No offense to the WV's around here (if you're in here, I'm sure you're the few cool ones), but they're nuts, inbred, racist, uneducated, backwards, and just about every other negative I can think of. I've no doubt that there are a few loops in my own family tree. My mother committed suicide when I was 8, one aunt has *serious* obsessive compulsive disorder, and the other one suffers from severe dementia. Several people on my grandfather's side were murderers. They're completely incapable of thinking for themselves. And God forbid you wander off the proven track, or you'll get the Deliverance "squeal like a pig" treatment. This has been my experience of WV in general, and I've been visiting since I was four years old.
If Hillary's bragging about winning this particular state, it's a sad state of affairs for her indeed. Are these *really* the people we want running our country? Let her have WV, and good riddance. -

Fri, May 23, 2008 - 3:01 PMDid you see Jon Stewart's post-primary interview of West Virginia voters on The Daily Show?
I rest my case. -

Fri, May 23, 2008 - 3:04 PMHoly crap, they even played the theme from Deliverance (dueling banjos). I guess it wasn't lost on them, either. -

Fri, May 23, 2008 - 3:46 PMWest Virginnie is good, white, workin' folk. Strong stock that don't cotton to big city ways. They don't want no uppity Mos-lum towel head type runnin' their corner of God's country.
Fuck 'em. When was the last time we had a president from West Virginia? I typically don't wax regional, but Hillary seems mighty proud of winning the Appalachian region. -
