Hey everyone, I know I've been really quiet on Tribe.net for awhile, I've been walking through a whole lot of life over the last couple of months, each particular ordeal are all supremely significant. I've been so busy in fact it's been difficult to really celebrate not just my sobriety B-Day, which was on May 5th in which I celebrated 4yrs of sobriety but my sponsee whom just celebrated her 1yr on 4/20/08. I have never felt so much gratitude, happiness and joy to pass on to her my 1yr chip, and share with her my experience of the importance of that first year as she's been walking through the steps with as much fervor, grace, and courage to dig deep in the depths of her spirit to not just work but live the spiritual principles of the steps as I do. Yay for recovery, yay for sobriety! I have been very reflective over these last couple of weeks, on where I was 4yrs ago, my journey up to where I am now and how much I've grown and changed, not just spiritually but psychologically, emotionally and physically. With so many enormously significant, scary and difficult challenges thundering through my life I nearly overlooked my own birthday! Yay for another long year of sobriety&recovery! Yay for another year of life.
