Hi All,
This is my first post, but I love to explore abandoned places. (Especially when I get up enough courage to venture in!! LOL) I wanted to share a place that is about 20min from where I live called the Glen Dale Hostpital. It was built back in the 1930's as a tuberculosis center, and was officially closed in 1982. Here are a few sites that give some great details and pictures of the place:

I have been all around the property, but not inside, as the place is often patrolled, although others have had successful ventures inside. There was a bill drafted to sell the property, which is huge, but it currently remains unsold. One of my adventure there with friends was a pretty wild one. We were in the car trying to drive on the old overgrown roadways between the buildings, when my friend stopped the car by the power plant seemingly for no reason. I started to ask why at the same time my other friend did, and the hairs stood up on the back of my neck and I instanly got goosebumps. Someone asked "do you feel that?" And two seconds later a brick from the top of the smoke stack of the power plant fell down and bounced close to where our car was. We all screamed as my friend tore the hell out of there.
Of course we all laughed it off about an hour later, but no one went back for quite some time. :) The next couple of times I went nothing out of the ordinary happend. I hope to get back out there soon, just in case they do manage to finally sell the place. When I do Ill be sure to take some pics. :)
