LETTER TO1 BRAHMA

We live in a rich universe as abounding with species, variants and sound. At age 15, the Author played 650musical scales. There was no one to tell him that music is three chords. There is no one up there to suggest simple models of the universe.

In approaching an astrological program for the first time, one does not feel incipient confidence at all. Who wrote this stuff? Obviously not astronomers, since the skies never look like a ring. Too much symmetry makes for simplistic approach as ideal for the masses. But why would one, even Brahma, simplify anything for the masses2?

We live in a variegated universe as abounding with species, lush variants and astral sound. But ascendants presently do not precisely abound at all. Namely, in turning towards the east, we count only 16 ascendants. At the time of Brahma, there were probably dozens of ascendants rising. Why did he pick 12?

2A dangerous question that we leave partly unanswered. Hints will do for now.
