As I sit here at my desk on this very cold and chilly pre-winter night, I am thinking about the whole dating thing. I have found that men do not want to date women that are overweight (fluffy as I call it) or women that have kids. I have been hoping that I would be able to find a noce pagan man to date but alas I have not found one.Sweet Home, OR is very narrow minded and we happend to be in the Guiness Book of World Records for the smallest town with the most churches.

Do pagan men look at the whole package? I am finding it hard and disheartening at the same time.

Blessings to you all.

I don't think that is a 'pagan' thing. I have entertained the idea that maybe my match is on another planet.

I sometimes feel like I'm from another planet, does that count?

I have found many Pagan men see the whole package, rather than holding a woman up to the mainstream version of "beauty" alone. A man who truly sees and honors the Goddess in you tends to view the sum of your parts and appreciate the beauty. When it comes to children, that has more to do with lifetsyle choices than religion. The whole package thing was a big part of what made me long for a Pagan mate to begin with. When with a group of Pagans, I always felt that the men I knew saw more than the boys at the bar.

Most sober men do see more than the 'boys at the bar'. I joined the pagan group because there is usually more interesting people in the group that call themselves pagan, but I have found that pagan means a lot of different things to different people. For me it is not about religion, but rather my lifestyle and understanding of the universe and my place in it. That does not fit with mainstream anything (religion, thought, expectations, etc.).

Often it doesn't fit here either, but at least I am not chastised or belittled. So, I think when people are willing to step away from all the mainstream ideas, no matter what label they put on themselves, they are more open and accepting.

Zorka, I live in the Aumsville area and there is a very active pagan group here.Pagan men do seem to be more open to seeing the whole woman and the Goddess inside of us. If you want contact me and I will try and help you.
