I'm a Seattle area performance artist and I'm looking for people to work with.
Regarding acro: I've trained with SANCA since 2003 and for 4 years performed original 2-3 person routines with my 2 acro partners, who have since moved on. I've been taking some acro yoga classes, mostly to keep my strength up and partially to look for more partners, but unfortunately acro yoga isn't my style. I've become less interested in acro being my spotlight performance (as it was with my troupe from 2003-2006) and more interested in integrating it into what I already do. I'm also beginning to think about relocating, as I've been in the NW my entire life. A place with a circus group to work with is ideal. I'd love suggestions too.
What I do most often: Double staff manipulation (8yrs), fire chains (8yrs), acro balancing (5yrs; I'm a switch, but prefer to base more than fly), Bed of Nails & Cinder Block breaking (3yrs), grinders on body armor (4yrs)
What I dabble in: nunchuks (20yrs), stilts (8yrs), meteor, club juggling/ball juggling (8yrs), martial arts (20yrs)
What I'm learning: viola (1yr), acrobatics & hand balancing (2-3yrs)
What I want to learn: acrobatics on velocity stilts, break dancing
Current and Past groups listed at: www.primaryelement.org/cb

Re: Looking for acro/circus partners [Seattle]
Tue, June 24, 2008 - 3:14 PMI have been looking for an acro partner for a while now, I am a flyer. I don't have tons of experience with it - just basic. Need a partner to get further into it. It's frustrating to try and find someone.
I was in Seattle until September. I am in VT now. Ever think about coming to VT? -

Re: Looking for acro/circus partners [Seattle]
Fri, July 4, 2008 - 8:02 PMI am considering a big move, actually, though I've been looking more in the way of the SW.
Can't say VT has ever crossed my mind as a place to live. Mostly because I don't know anything about it. Tell me more?
