Re: Quiz time!
Fri, February 8, 2008 - 7:28 AMIts a mu point for the middle jiao, so it can treat damp if the damp is due to hypofunction of spleen...I don't think it's the best choice for damp oin general, for example arthritis due to damp it will have minimal effect. Is it also the confluent point for the fu organs? -

Re: Quiz time!
Sat, February 9, 2008 - 1:44 PMIt IS the hui-meeting point of the fu. I agree with you that it's not the best point for treating damp, though. Spleen Xu could be benefitted by ren-12 if the problem is yang xu but I'm not sure that it'd be best for qi xi either. Any thoughts? -

Re: Quiz time!
Sun, February 10, 2008 - 6:15 PMIt is the front mu of St, influential point of the fu organs and influential pt of the middle jiao - my fellow students were thinking it might help with the spleen's T&T functions. It's weird but it's a favorite choice of my current teacher for "acupuncture for the treatment of disease". It was huge on our midterm last week. I'll ask him next class. -
