The QUEENS of the UNIVERSE proudly present our 2008 mini series featuring these WONDERFUL teachers:
March 15......Julynn Holt......JOHARA...............arms and sassy combos...
May 17......Alice Warner...ALEIA...................zills and lecture on
music selection
July 19......Lucy Smith...SHEHEREZADE....cane
All classes are $30 and will be held at the Colonial Heights Community Center, 157 Roanoke Ave.
The SPECIAL guest artists will begin their lessons at 1 PM.
Haflas ($5.00) will follow each session and start at 7:30.
Let me know if you would like to dance.
We will have "micro minis" in the morning from 9 -12.....$ 5.00
( Usually two make and take workshops.....)
March 15
1) This month, Robynne Dexter will show you how to use your computer to research music, lyrics, and the history of the dance.
2) The other micro mini will be how to construct a simple cover-up. Bring a 3 yard piece of fabric that you want to turn into a cover-up, some trim, and your sewing machine...we will have a couple there for your use.
May 17..... morning we will have a BELLY SWAP... your trash might be my
treasure....bargains abound !!!
July 19....Lucy will have her lovely goodies to sell !!!

Fri, July 18, 2008 - 2:31 PMIf you are planning to go to Lucy's cane workshop tomorrow, I recommend double-checking that it's still happening. I haven't heard any confirmation of it either way.
