Goals in Adult Higher Education

public - created 01/17/07
This tribe is for anyone - man or woman - who has taken/is taking the hard road (in other words, your parents didn't just cough up the money) to finish his/her college degree or continuing education, no matter what your obstacles (be they fear, anxiety, tight finances, worries about age, the time crunch of a busy career or family life). I invite you to join this group, to correspond and collaborate with others and myself, so together we may support, inspire, advise and motivate one another. If you have already accomplished your educational goals, you may find this tribe to be a goldmine of opportunity where your experiences may help to shine a light onto others on this path. You would be a wonderful mentor here, sharing tips, encouragement or maybe your own success story with those students still working toward their college degrees. This is a way of giving something back -- or maybe returning a favor some wise soul once bestowed upon you.

I want this to be a place we can all come for recharging during weary cramming sessions or times of waning confidence about the long road to achieving our degrees. Please feel free to start discussions, offer tips or tell your personal stories of hard work that earned you a degree and how it influenced you personally and professionally.

Fear not, because we are all in this same boat together, or maybe some of us have been and can invigorate you by pointing out that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
