Sun, March 16, 2008 - 5:19 PMOh, man, no *wonder* I love Johnny Bravo! It's written by Seth MacFarlane! I had no idea. :) -

Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Sun, March 16, 2008 - 5:41 PMWell, at least some of it is. :) -

Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Mon, March 17, 2008 - 6:26 AMJohnny Bravo – one of those things I really didn't like at first, but then it grew on me.
I can see some Seth MacFarlane humor in there, now that you mention it. But I wouldn't have guessed otherwise.
Now I'm wondering if he may have added his voice on occasion, too?
My favorite Johnny Bravo episode – "You're not down, but you are phat and stoopid." -

Same here.
"Now I'm wondering if he may have added his voice on occasion, too?"
I'm still watching yesterday's marathon eps, and I didn't notice his voice yesterday (it's fairly distinctive, except for Roger the alien, which I honestly never would have guessed), but I'll report back if I do. :)

Ha! I remember that one. With the rappers, right? -

Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Mon, March 17, 2008 - 11:08 AMOr were they hip hoppers? What's the difference?
God, I'm white. -
-
Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Mon, March 17, 2008 - 11:33 AMWell, there was a turntable involved… that doesn't really help, does it?
I think it was supposed to be hip-hoppers. Probably rap would have been "controversial" or something.
I think there was breakdancing, or at least hip-hop dancing / urban dancing going on.
I'm pretty white myself. So white I'm blond.

Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Tue, March 18, 2008 - 6:25 AMRoger is pretty much the same pitch/tone as Peter, but with a little bit of Stewie's soft S's, and then a dab of Katherine Hepburn over the top.
If you hear Roger and Peter back-to-back, it's less shocking that it's Seth. -

Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Tue, March 18, 2008 - 12:38 PMActually, I think it's less Katherine Hepburn and more Paul Lynde. That's who he said he was going for. I actually think he nailed it pretty well. :) -
-
Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Tue, March 18, 2008 - 12:51 PMI think I maybe don't know who Paul Lynde is.
All I know is it sounds a lot like someone else trying to do Katherine Hepburn. -

Tue, March 18, 2008 - 1:52 PMOh that guy. Yeah, pretty right on. Little more Peter than Paul; then again, the man only has one voice box to work with.

Wed, March 19, 2008 - 9:58 PMI LOVE Cow and Chicken! It's sad that there aren't re-runs anywhere. I'd be all over it!

Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Thu, March 20, 2008 - 6:52 AMI love Cow and Chicken, too.
And I love Dexter's Lab.
And I love IM Weasel.
And I really wish they had made a full spin-off of the – oh, what was it – the Superheroes sharing an apartment thingy. The Infraggable Crunk, Val Hallen… the other guy. Captain Hero? Doesn't sound right. -
-
Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Mon, March 24, 2008 - 2:27 AMThe only reason I liked IM Weasel because of the baboon -

Re: Johnny Bravo marathon this afternoon on Cartoon Network
Mon, March 24, 2008 - 6:39 AMYeah, that was the point of the show.
Though the toilet communicator in the Yurpeein episode was high-larious.
