Would gender matter?

If you're one of those people who:

1. Considers yourself to be in a relationship with your true soulmate

2. Had ever met, marrried or connected with what you considered was your soulmate in this lifetime

3. Is truly, madly, deeply in love with your significant other

4. Been married (with or with out kids) for several years

5. Is about to be married

6. Is in a long-term relationship and planning to keep it that way

What would you have done differently if your love was a different gender?

For cuddling? - What's there to do differently??
...i mean, if my lover were an octapus that might make for different cuddling, but i don't get this question (assuming we're all humans talking about human lovers).

And anyway, if we're talking about a real soulmate, then even if you mean things other than cuddling gender is a pretty minor variation - maybe some differences in how we have sex, but even that depends on the individual ...& a "different" gender from what? - from me? from the first lover i had? from what society wants me to have? from my last lover?

So what are you asking when you say what would we have "done" differently?

I wasn't asking about cuddling. I spoke of relationships. No worries, just thoughts.

Sorry - since this is a tribe about cuddling & you asked such a vague question as "what would you do differently" i naturally assumed you were talking about doing in cuddling. Get it?

Anyway, don't see how gender could "matter", as you put it, if you're talking about a "soulmate" or are "deeply in love", as you said. Seems your question provides the answer....

Since I won't speak for others, all I'll say is that finding a true soulmate for me is such a deep, intense, understanding, unconditional and loving connection that it wouldn't matter to me what gender that person would be.
