So it happens every so often in a club's life span...you wonder if it's worth continuing.
Rather than just ponder amongst ourselves, we'd rather throw this out there.
We care about your opinions and don't plan to just disappear.
Basically, Margo and I put on Dark Sparkle because it was fun and we enjoyed sharing the music we love with all of you.
After several years at the Du Nord we decided it was worth moving on and expanding upon what we built with Dark Sparkle by opening After Dark.
We know how much you all loved the Du Nord. So did we. However, we were thrilled at the opportunity that Julie's offered us after our stint at Du Nord ended.
Finally we could do the regular weekend event that so many of you asked for AND at cheaper prices, but our numbers haven't always proved what we hoped for.
No, the venue isn't unhappy with our turnout. We're not getting kicked out. In fact we're looking at a trial of going 18+ as early as next month. We just wonder if it's worth the added expense and possible emtying of our bank account if making this change doesn't prove worth it.
It's definitely an exciting opportunity to reach even more new people by adding 18+, but truth be told we miss you, our old friends and regulars from Dark Sparkle.
We realize that there's lots to do on a Saturday night, but how about making plans once a month to revisit old friends and your favorite music?
We'd love to share a drink and save a dance for you.
After all, that's what we do the club for. To be with our friends and have a good time. As long as we have your support, we'll continue putting the work in to bring this to you every month.
We need to see you though! Make us know that it's worth your while and we'll be sure to make it worth yours.
