Summer classes

In case anyone is paying attention ;-)
I am restructuring classes just a bit, which I hope will make things easier to follow, especially for those who can't make a full 12 week commitment! I am breaking the level 1 classes into 4 six week sessions which can be taken in any order, and added some specialty topics also broken into 6 week sessions. the special topics will be open to all levels.

Available this summer:
May 20-June 26
Tuesdays 5:15-6- NEW! parent/child Middle Eastern Dance- $10 per person, $15 per pair
Thursdays 7:15-8:15 Beginning Raqs Sharqi session 1 (originally the first half of RS101)- $75 full session, $15 drop in

August 7-September 11
Thursdays 7:15-8:15 Special topic- Floorwork & Sword $75 full session, $15 drop in

Classes will be held at the Artisan's Courtyard off College Road

fundamentals of oriental technique, intro to veil
$195 full semester, $16 drop in fee

Raks Sharqi 102- Tuesday 6:45-7:45
Fundamentals of oriental technique, intro to finger cymbal and balancing
$195 full semester, $16 drop in fee

Raks Sharqi 302- Friday 5:15-6:30
Structured Improvisation, Choreographic development, Saidi/cane, advanced veil and finger cymbal
$240 full semester, $19 drop in fee

Dancing Thru Pregnancy Tuesday & Thursday 5:30-6:30
$16 per class, $180 6 week punchcard, $336 12 week punchcard

I am leaving this Wednessday for a crash course in Dancing Thru Pregnancy training. Dancing Thru Pregnancy classes for pregnant and post-partum moms will begin in September, along with regular Raqs Sharqi classes. I am still struggling to find a studio with open time on Tuesdays or Thursdays, the two prefered days for current students. If all else fails, I'll find throw the kids out of the house and use the living room, but I hope it will not come to that! I will keep you posted! I hope to have both a fundamentals 1&2 class, as well as an advanced class which will require zills (finger cymbals) and will explore topic such as veil and balancing.
Stay tuned... I'll have more to announce when I'm back in town after the 4th of July.
