We’re getting closer to June, which means Mira Betz is coming up here soon!!

For those of you traveling from out of town, I’ve got some good news. Hotels are ridiculously expensive in the summer, so I’ve found another option: conference housing at UAF. I’ve secured a block of 10 rooms in Skarland Hall on campus, at the low rate of $60 per night for two beds. Please remember, though, that these are dorm rooms, so your bathroom will be down the hall. Dancers will need to call UAF Conference Services at (907) 474-6769 to reserve the rooms, and they are being held under the Cold Fusion Tribal Dance block. They can only hold the rooms until May 27, so call now if you want to take advantage of this discount!

I’ve also arranged to have lunches made by Pita Place so that we will not have to leave the studio and hunt down food during the lunch break. Pita Place makes the tastiest fresh pitas I’ve had in a while, and they can offer us the following:

Pita with falafel $7
Pita with hummus $5.50
Pita with labane $5.50
Baklava $2

In order to give them a heads-up on their catering, dancers will need to let me know if they’d like a lunch for either day BEFORE Monday June 16.
