Hello. I'm back in Anchorage after traveling the world for 7 years, and i'm looking to drum for any bellydance troupes that would like to add the dimension of live rhythm to their performances.
I've drummed with NeoHips and the Skin Beaters for the last year, a perfomance heavy tribal fusion group. I can drum arabic, african, and turkish styles. I have a long musical and dance background and i'm very easy to work with.
I'd like to get involved with another troupe that likes to perform frequently, and is passionate about their art form. Soloists are welcome to hit me up as well.
In addition to my drumming, i also juggle, spin fire (staff), and am experienced at managing a troupe.
If you're interested in having me audition for you, send me a message, or email me at ctelestial@gmail.com

Re: Drummer Seeking Belly Dancers
Sat, May 24, 2008 - 11:09 PMHello!
It's all pretty casual but if you are bored, bring your drum to the 3 Barons Ren Faire and improv with us. There's generally a pretty good sized group of local dancers affiliated or semiaffiliated with the Wild Rovers Encampment. We generally have a formal show but then goof around all day in encampment to live music. Last year we had a great flute and didge player show up and we had a blast. They have since moved away but I'm hopeful that more will come and play. It's June 7-8 and 14-15 starting around noon. Come whenever you'd like and stay as long as it's fun.
Best,
Melissa
