Tue, October 13, 2009 - 4:38 PMI have obligations, and I wish I could be there with Gypsy Horizon just to watch the show and catch up with everyone. The last two years were a blast, and the Al-Aska Temple is the perfect venue for it. Have fun for those of us that won't be able to make it.
I added all the info. to October newsletter that went out to all my students.

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 3:30 PMYes, Performers do have pay the $10 dollar to get in ~~ This party cost $$$ to create ~~ How ever, I plan on putting only the performers names in to a drawing for a set of Afgani cymbals from Saroyan * a Sword & a Dombic ~~ Please understand ~ At this time Corliss Kimber & Sheere' and I are setting up & Decorerating the place on Friday from 12 until when ever, ~ I need to be back at the shrine Saturday so the DJ can set up ** also after the party I am responable for cleanning everything up. So I do not go home until the place is spotless and all trash is taken out ~~ -

And in the holiday spirit, is it a costume party, or a sit-in-the-audience type venue? I have not been to a halflaween before, so I have no idea what to expect... -

She rents the Shriner's, puts the music together which is quite encumbersome project, purchases some hefty prizes, makes the dance community so happy to participate in a FUN event. Hope those coming will remember to bring something delicious for the potluck. Let's make this potluck outstanding. One hundred people eating - means we need a lot of food. You can dress in costume, have a great meal, and watch or participate in a fantastic dance show - for only $10 admission. Holy cow! Where else could you get such a deal! -

Thu, October 15, 2009 - 3:58 PMI will be in Las Vegas for my best buddies' wedding. This will be the first Haflaween I have missed. I will miss all you ladies and your wonderful outrageous costumes and fun choreographies and surprising Halloween persona's. I want to win the Afghani zills! Wah! ...and a Doumbek...not that I have need of another drum in my tiny home but what a great prize!
This is one of the most relaxing, most fun belly dance social events of the year. Grace and Aurora gals go out of their way to put on a great party. I will be a Ka that night but will think of you'all with at least part of me wishing I was there enjoying our funny beautiful community.
