did anyone else make it this year to be a little disappointed?
And who (seriously now) would be interested in helping build a yearly arts festival in Alaska. No more raver camp! I don't mind the DJs and music but when it is 24/7 for a week it kind of distracts from all the cool art and stuff people are torching.

Wed, September 26, 2007 - 10:59 AMHad a great time.
About an AK fest-Yeah! My sweetie and I would be in.
And how about a little early October de-compression?
Mised the burn at UAF last week as kids were beat. (us too). -

Re: So...
Wed, September 26, 2007 - 2:01 PMEarly October bonfire or the like would be cool.
I'm hoping to get a team of people together interested in making an annual arts festival happen in Alaska - not sure where yet but probably start here in Fairbanks since I have friends with property that would be down for hosting it.
I just happened to pull back into town right before the bonfires at UAF - too pooped to come back out for em though. -

Re: So...
Wed, September 26, 2007 - 3:56 PMOver the years a few American burners I've talked to said they'd be down for a winter burn in Alaska. I don't know if their interest would last beyond learning about the airfare, though. But I'm down if I still have freaky flyer miles left, and one of the Portland burners is part of your Portland-based flight attendant crew on The Airline, so that's at least one person with no excuse ;)
