kivas symbolize: the center of the mandala; the secret, hidden place where the sipapu meets the sky, the safe place where the past meets the future. the kiva is a place of refuge, a sanctuary from the unpredictability of the elements, a private and safe space combining the practical and spiritual dimensions of existence in one form, a womb of culture and vision, a special opening into the reality of mother. the circle around a central fire pit is a natural mandala, tending to bring the participants into visual contact and intimate communication. the kiva is an architectural form designed to host the spirit of council fires and gatherings of all kinds which had once taken place outdoors or in caves and natural rockhouses; circular structures created by awakened indigenous beings when planet earth was at peak electromagnetic fields (we are now experiencing a low point of the emg field which makes for a thinned veil and more direct relating) where 'they' could know all aspects of themselves and communicate with other worlds. i.e. unify ;)
inspired by our budding dome(s) layout last year, i see a bridging of kivas in our neighbourhood for/to:

> keeping + staying warm, feel safe& lovingly embraced by real(ized/ing) come.unity
> facilitating expansion of our co-creations...
i.e. inspiraling intimate d.j. settings, chill out/quiet temple, moon/lunar lounge (4 goddesses), bodyworx 'waiting area'
> well~coming benevolent e.t. communications... k, why not us since they're already underway (refer to terran's dome drawings! ;)
> maintaining the integrity of the beauty*full forest setting which speaks for itself, with high degree of organic and ecological integrity in utmost respect for what is already purrrrfect

Wed, January 17, 2007 - 12:53 PMwe'll be more or less in the same location, with some tweaking along the lines of our 'no trace' intent and minimally impacting to the surrounding forest. the neighbourhood is well staked already and our range relatively focused and situated. personally, i liked the feel of where the dome is with it's terrific view of the skies and would love to see us have a skylight for emphasis at night - to encourage a nice pranic flow in the dome. as far as degrees of exposure people flow wise, we can cultivate our space creatively using suggestion of entrance and exits etc., incorporating what we'd like to do differently from last year.
and when i wrote e.t. i did mean 'e.t.' ;) -

that will encompass the outdoor area nicely
we also discussed activating it
with a sound feed from Seed of Life
to envelope and kinnect the zones together
buffering the portal vibe
the lower 1 foot of the 3d structure
buried in the ground
to effectively ground the energies
contained therin
we could also go 4-5-6 from a rectangular
structure, slowing the passerby's
adjoining the dodecahedron, with chill benches
and radiant heat to encourage comfort
then to 6, into the AEZ dome
as pictured in the photo gallery

a current of heat and energy will flow

removed from the grid, is the *Dodecahedron* ....her/historically it has symbolized the concept of a fifth element, Ether (Aether) or Universe. it represents the perfect mediation of the infinite and the finite, the sphere and the cube, analogous to the circle and the square. it is reciprocal with the Icosahedron; whereas the Icosahedron has 20 faces and 12 vertices, the Dodecahedron has 12 faces and 20 vertices. each shape can easily be transformed into the other by truncation or stellation.
with 12 regular heptagons, it has 12 x 5 = 60 angles of 108 degrees. there's another interesting connection: 11 x 22 x 33 = 108. so, the first 3 numbers potentiated with itself give 108. for this reason in India 108 is very often associated with "GOD", because GOD is associated with 3 and a triangle, as it is done in old Egypt too, where a god sign was a triangle with an eye in it. the dodecahedron as a symbol connects also the 12 synodical moon cycles of a year with the '5';
like all regular polygons, the Pentagon (shape at structure base where "spirit" meets earth) is filled with many internal correlations. each side is opposite a point, every diagonal that unites two sides, internally, has a Golden ratio to either of the sides it unites. the instances of groups of fives and pentagonal symmetry in everyday life are many-fold;
"mind over matter" has to be represented in important buildings too. the number '5' is a representation of 'changing space in time', in physics it's called 'speed', in biology with low speeds given they call it 'growth'. the objects connected with it are called 'living beings'.
