I’ve been asked to provide everyone’s tkt. no.’s in advance, so if you’re “t.b.a.” or not here that means I don’t have your legal first and last names and/or tkt no. as of when I sent in the list; If it comes down to it and I haven’t received further info., I trust but can’t guarantee that entry will unfold smoothly bcz you’re name is on our list and you’ll have a ticket or other arrangement in/on hand.

SCENE SHAPING:
“addressed 2012”; love incarnate forms graceful remembering naturally inspiring union of directions and elements in centrally be~ing, celebrating, uni~veral come~unity artfully expressing… extending a variety of alignment techniques to our brothers and sistars by collaboratively presenting ‘24 hr.s set & setting’ during the fest (mutual ‘sked’ flex as we est. on site), also encouraging of dance, yoga etc. arts, play, general chillaxing amid warming, enlightening company by our central altar; Requiem to a Shared Dream, Ohmage to All that Is… with sacred soundscape brought to us c/o our neighbouring seed of life d.j.’s.

(EARLY ENTRY ARRIVALS) ‘TO DO’ ON SITE:
- raking, clearing site from weather, cow traffic
- building/making 4 x hay based massage beds (have blanket covering + 2 blankets for these)
- making other low seating? …we’ve got 23 bales to work with which will make us beds; we also have 2 x exercise balls for people to be on
- creating dome entrance
- wiring sound from seed of life stage
- putting up string lighting (terran’s bringing some so far…) and fabrics in dome
- getting stone and build altars to 4 directions, and central altar around stone warmer
- making altars themed to h~ohm at center + 4 directions
- putting up overhead heat lamp (have one on hand…red bulb of course! but if anyone has more and preferably also with red bulb, that could be good! :)
- putting up/set any misc. lighting we bring
- getting stone or somehow creatively secure 2 x pagoda (about 2 + ft.) solar entry lights that are quite delicate
- getting stone for and build cairns
- getting sand for floor around altars and massage beds
- painting symbols on altar stones: we have a set of bright tempura paints for painting symbols on stones, think i have paint brushes too… bringing crop circle book, other symbol ideas and extra eco friendly paint welcome
- setting up mushroom lights at night, charge at night – these are solar, around area pathway
- establishing our collective presence for the festival
- getting together ‘metal sacred geometry installation’ w/michael
- an opening? do we want to do anything ‘official’ together setting intentions of our zone (generally a good idea earlier – maybe tues., then once everyone arrives spontaneous like?)
- energetically and literally ‘maintaining’ our set + setting intact over the weekend re. flow

“BEAUTIFICATION OPPORTUNITIES” FOR EVERYONE! PLEASE BRING…AS INSPIRED:
- incense
- essential oils for aromatherapy in central ‘hearth’/altar
- fabric, fabric, fabric for interior of dome to vanish plastic
- items of a sacred nature (sorry if that’s redundant!) for central altar representing ‘h~ohm’/being at the center of our medicine wheel
- tokens of 4 directions for altars to the directions; 6 (directions) in terms of representation overall.
- exterior and interior extension chords, as many as we can bring… we have a base 150 ft. for feed from our power source and our needs will fluctuate based on what we end up with for lighting.
- himalayan salt candles or salt lamps
- candle holders… haven’t done the math, but i’ve picked up about 150 tea lights that burn 5-6 hrs. ea. these are for the altars.
- nails
- spare speaker wire… we’ve got 150 ft. to run from sol and that may do per silver’s measurements, but a little spare on hand could help out in a pinch on site.
- speakers – these can be computer speakers; this is for piping in music from the seed of life stage.
- want to put up some of your art… anything creative *with* the theme is cool.
- string lights, ‘mood’ lighting for the interior electric and non.
- we have a central warming area made of a hot rock warmer and a ‘brooder light’/heat lamp above it and a couple of blankets so far; if you have warming ideas to make us cozy at night by all means bring them up. candles are okay, but no open fires.
- silver suggested hanging plants… other ideas, original mobiles, sculpture ???
- always good to have a bit extra of misc. things like tools, duct tape, rope, scissors etc.
- play thingz... hmmm?

approaching year 10 and the transitioning of Cycles care...fully, respectfully ~ self.response.ably and harmoniously, AEZ healers are well~come to arrive early to find reserved neighbourhood camping, ground ourselves & co.create a conducive set + setting reflective of collective intent...

confirmed healers must have their own event ticket to get in, but comp early entry is arranged for AEZ healers/crew;
we may receive a fee for our healing services while not officially being charged vending... to stay the flow and good graces, we are reciprocating fair 20% of any monies we take in to portal workers. system for this t.b.a.

celebrating our alignment we unfold our scene naturally and organically over the weekend: - by co-creation and sacred sustaining of the dome/dodecahedron structures, commitment of presence with a more intuitive than formal unfolding as worked well last year (feedback on how to best cover our presence collectively is welcome!); we will have the warmth and facility to be functioning 24 hrs. and will also serve as divine sanctuary for those present with us.

you/we'll begin to see more specifics and are welcome to participate as we near opening date in this tribe. just warming up? check in on the "to do and get" thread and help get us landed; here's also the place to contribute perspective and constructive ideas/follow through towards optimal stealth functioning of our scene overall so jump on in where inspired.

good chance it'll be the missing piece!

this space. donation can be as simple and profound and as a silent blessing, or gesture of kind nature, to as complex
as the beauty of your voice and the melody's of life we weave with subtle and powerful grace.

Shambhala Healing Space 2007

Greetings all,

A few of us here in Lethbridge AB are very interested in heading to Shambhala early to help set up the healing space this year.
With this being said, I am very interested to know more about what you are planning, and where you would like to see it happen.
I personally would love to see this connecting with the Seed of Life in some sorts....

If I could get some information, I would love to get the crew here moving on some things for it as well.

do we know the person designing them? have they chosen one yet?

Also, what 'status' do we have as a legit zone, per se?
Just want to know how ok the management is with 'us', and also

Project and volunteer management tool

I can/will set up a project management tool that I use
(if those of us interested in co-creating this space will use it)
an online site that we each log into,
which is capable of being a centralized communication and planning forum
for all topics and materials relating to the æz
in addition to the features tribe here offers,
we can also create to-do lists, version editable documents (writeboards) AND
track hours, so we can take a look at total time commitments
which will help us as we plan to continue to make this
a self-sustainable co-creation...

does this sound good to you?

kivas symbolize: the center of the mandala; the secret, hidden place where the sipapu meets the sky, the safe place where the past meets the future. the kiva is a place of refuge, a sanctuary from the unpredictability of the elements, a private and safe space combining the practical and spiritual dimensions of existence in one form, a womb of culture and vision, a special opening into the reality of mother. the circle around a central fire pit is a natural mandala, tending to bring the participants into visual contact and intimate communication. the kiva is an architectural form designed to host the spirit of council fires and gatherings of all kinds which had once taken place outdoors or in caves and natural rockhouses; circular structures created by awakened indigenous beings when planet earth was at peak electromagnetic fields (we are now experiencing a low point of the emg field which makes for a thinned veil and more direct relating) where 'they' could know all aspects of themselves and communicate with other worlds. i.e. unify ;)

inspired by our budding dome(s) layout last year, i see a bridging of kivas in our neighbourhood for/to:

> keeping + staying warm, feel safe& lovingly embraced by real(ized/ing) come.unity
> facilitating expansion of our co-creations...
i.e. inspiraling intimate d.j. settings, chill out/quiet temple, moon/lunar lounge (4 goddesses), bodyworx 'waiting area'
> well~coming benevolent e.t. communications... k, why not us since they're already underway (refer to terran's dome drawings! ;)
> maintaining the integrity of the beauty*full forest setting which speaks for itself, with high degree of organic and ecological integrity in utmost respect for what is already purrrrfect

Without a trace

The topic of money is always an interesting one....

being that Shambhala is offering *us*
an official placement and recognition AND a meager budget
this year to create this space I would like to address the topic now....

If massage folks wanted to set up on the beach or in the market area
they would be charged a commission.
This is not happening as of yet in our space, which is a blessing
to keep it that way, we need to talk about how to show our appreciation
to the organizers for allowing us the freedom to practice there

i am thinking that if we organize well enough,
practitioners can be steady busy all day throughout the weekend
if we go the route of having standalone tents (see the other threads)
then we could ask that practitioners
offer a commision for booking those tents perhaps
then the money recouped goes into:
#1 - paying for the tent rentals
#2 - covering costs incurred for setting up the space
#3 - paying back the money that shambhala gave us

If we can essentially take their money, use it to facilitate our presence,
then give it back in the end, we are essentially leaving without a trace
the concept of which I like a lot.

Then maybe next year, they up the ante....and we continue to grow.

"Signage"

Mentioning my presence at the "Seed of Life Healing Zone" at Shambhalah,
I have been commonly greeted with a blank stare and the same question:

"Where was THAT?!?!?"

"Um, past the portal, in the trees..."

"Oh, hm, didn't even know anything was up there...Cool."

So, Alchemists, I think it's time for some brainstorming
about the vibe recognition strategy we can
employ to bring others "into the fold" so to speak...

One idea...I am recycling a whole bunch of old used scratched and useless cd's.
I'm sure we could find more....houses are inundated with these things...

(after spending from .50-$1.00 on each one, people feel somehow obligated to not throw these out, using them as coasters and such. )

i propose we lay out a
breadcrumb trail of shiny stuff
to encourage seekers to find...

To engage people's entheogenicly intrigued minds incorporating
shiny, psychedelic imagery with direction and succession to make the signage "readable":

we start a trail, back at the fractal forest, with a single cd, hanging from a tree on the trail.
Then 2 cd's, each emblazoned with the Alchemy imagery used with the dome.
Then a mobile with 3 cd's. 4..5..6, each one more elaborate,
leading our intrigued observers to the culmination of the trail where a
massive3d hanging cd sculpture welcomes them into the ÆZ.

> organizers acknowledge we are in a building phase of a new area in the process of discovery, so we are not being charged vending fees and are free to ask for $ for healing. last year $ offerings were accepted, and healings done regardless of exchange (thank you!). keep in mind that as we flourish - or as all or some of us may enjoy $ abundance this year, we will be looking at distributing that in the form of commission to shambhala to keep things level and in appreciation for the opportunity.

> last year, we established when the healing zone needed coverage on the whole but kept our individual "schedule" of appearances open and synchronic which seemed to work well in terms of flexibility and communication. imagine we'll continue fine tuning this year.

> we'll be bringing/creating/sharing (on agreement/trade) our own work surfaces/tables again - can be stored in vehicles, maybe a storage trailer again (t.b.a.) at nights though some of us did healing at night and may do more this year with more warmth depending how we set things up. i believe most if not all tables were left in the dome at night last year without incident - but the security factor remains an element of that choice and is totally left to individuals

> the fabric collage was beautiful last year and thanks for that! t.b. confirmed but we will have some fabric to work with this year, and may just want to embellish it with some of our own for dividers and the like when working

> consensus from last year was that we need a waiting area and only one entry/exit from dome (vs. 2 last year that made it more of a thoroughfare and proved disruptive)

> warmth is essential and a priority this year; last year, we did intend a large clay pot with wood pellet briquette type things but the briquettes went into the void and it didn't come together

keep in mind the vision is still growing,

Architecture and usability of the space

My feedback from this past summer's experience...

Amazing synergy in creation of the space. Although many reasons impacted the intended start time/date of the installation, the overall impact was astounding. What a weekend!

Some things I would like to see this year:

Business or personal sponsorships:
- Donations from people offering support or the space
- Money helps to pay for decor, tents and dome, constructions costs
- Donors seeking recognition may have their name displayed on a gratitude plaque of our creation

Larger dome, in the trees, slightly away from the main path
- Risers inside support a raised surface to chill on, or for massage sessions. Around the crystal altar at the centre, on the floor people gather to meditate, share bodywork or quiet conversation with the risers to rest back on. A salt crystal lamp in the center casts a soft amber hue into the corners of the tent, decked out with fabrics, lanterns, and incense smoke drifting within.

Single table massage tents:
- Scattered in the area in wooded spots, slightly away from the main causeway, but visible enough to encourage interest
- with optional privacy tarp door, which may also be used to keep the spaces closed and safe from damage at night.
- Perhaps practitioners can sign up for session times, where they put a deposit(?) down on the table, to ensure table time is not wasted. Whatever system is decided on and used, it must be clear and delineated in some fashion and made apparent to all contributing practitioners. Money received from tent deposits/bookings and commissions will go to cover the tent rental costs.

A public outdoor sheltered space (similar to the Qwan Yin chill zone Paloma was tending) to act as a "lobby" for the zone. During the daytime, people can collect here, sign up for massage times, etc.... Massages can be booked in private tents, for practitioners boing clothes off oil massage, etc. Dome open with a number of massage chairs and spaces, booked similarily to the tents.

Nighttime in the zone is a very different vibe, thus a different model may be used to delineate the purpose and intention of the space at those times, as well as agreeing on the usage. I think the outdoor area, with candles, heater, and pool of water, acts as a collective space and a buffer of sorts to filter the tourism factor busting into the dome's vibe in the nighttime....people walk in to the 'zone', and feel the resonance transforming their energetic being. If they respond and choose to engage they chill by the pond, opportunities for body work, entheogenic exploration, healing conversations and more emerge in abundance...Carried through to impromptu embodywork sessions around the fire or in the dome, (or in the single table tents if available and agreed upon).
