I am going to be riding to Minneapolis sometime Sunday in July. I was wondering if anyone would care to join me. I have a route planned to the south Metro right now. This part of the route is final. I am considering a few options for the journey into Minneapolis before I post the entire route. So far there is about 72 miles, 30-40 of which are gravel, with about 900 feet of climbing. Something to consider anyway.

Re: Rochester to Minneapolis
Thu, June 28, 2007 - 9:24 AMDrove the route to Northfield today. it looks to be a very beautiful trip. There is about 20 miles of gravel between here and there with only two road sections which are nice and long and straight. The hills are rolling with only a couple of big climbs, the longest of which is about 9/10 of a mile. All of the gravel sections appear to be well traveled with nice, steady lines throughout. My plan is to ride on the 15th, but that has not yet been confirmed. Final Map:

Sun, July 1, 2007 - 10:05 AMIt looks now like this ride won't be happening until Labor Day weekend. Plenty of time to think about it.
