<div>In the most recent newsletter, Kathryn suggested that a restaurant dancer should have a chaperone with them. <br/> <br/>I feel very strongly that this is not a necessity. If you're planning to take on restaurant work in a professional or semi-professional capacity you need to be able to manage your own costumes, music and travel arrangements. I understand that people have concerns about personal safety, but I've never felt at risk within a restaurant. The journey to and from your car can be more unsettling, and you can always ask a member of staff to see you to your vehicle. <br/> <br/>The bottom line is - you're getting paid to go to work - in what other profession would you expect an unpaid chaperone to accompany you?
