They then decided to call themselves gay and lesbian, and bisexual and transsexual and called the rest of them straight. And some wanted GLBT and others LGBT. And heterosexuals wanted a label too and some preferred straight-but-not-narrow and others said they were allies.
And others said they were queer and two-spirit or two-spirited and transgender or transgendered and some people wanted GLBTTQ and others LGBTTQ. And there were people who were questioning their sexual orientation or their gender identity and others were also drag queens and drag kings, gender fucks, and intersex or intersexed. And some people wanted LGBTTIQQ.
And then some people were heteroflexible. And there were other names and identities and there will be more names and more identities. And some people didn’t want labels.
Welcome to Alphabet People where there is a letter for every label that exists and where labels are no longer necessary because of course deep down we’re all the same…
