Team leads up for grabs...?
I think that clearly Pete has first shot at Web Team lead, with Christina as his able second, and it seems Loki is in for that team as well.
But we'll need other things...medical, fire, security, safety, happy people relations, promotions...oh so many more...
Pick yourself a problem to deal with! We've got plenty!! :)

Re: Team Leads?
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 8:27 AMThe Promotions and Web team should be tied together, since graphics are key to both...
As for the other teams, such as "Fire" could someone more clearly state what they mean?
thanks... -

Re: Team Leads?
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 9:10 AMFire Team Lead would be the person who is educated enough to understand Ga Fire Code. That person would have to file a complete fire plan for the event, oversee the implementation of that plan, and oversee the safety of all participants, audience, and any other persons/property near the burn area.
that being said...
if this does come to fruition, you have to remember that although you are on private land, you are still on Ga soil, and therefore subject to the laws of this state. it doesn't matter if the land owner knows the local fire dept. personally, or is on the fire dept, or is fucking someone in the dept, you still must file a plan. let the local officials know personnally, pay them what they ask ( maybe its nothing, maybe its a couple hundered bucks) to have an official at the site if they see that its needed.
why?....
well....several of us have been working with the AFD, and have built a good standing relationship with them....we don't want to loose/jepordize that relationship....
remember what happened in FL not too long ago?...some asshat lights a pool on fire, and all fire is shut down. nowyou have to pay $90/hr for a marshall, and if you have 2 or more performers you also have to pay for an EMT to be on scene.
so....jump through their hoops...follow the law...and everyone will be happy....if not, no one will be allowed to do anything with fire for a long time.
dig?

Re: Team Leads?
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 10:01 AMI'll be happy to lead the web efforts to get things off the ground. It looks like Christina will be handling the pretty webdesign stuff I'm not good at, and I'll be doing the backend work to make everything click together.
Unless someone else steps up, I can handle the conclave (if we decide to have one) and fire safety. We'd still want to have someone with firefighter training if at all possible.
We'd also want to have an effigy team. We need someone who can design and lead the build effort, and preferably someone with effigy experience.
